I was out in the Howling Fjord last night questing down on the quaint isle of Kamagua – XP and rep at the same time (Kalu’ak) when out of the blue I was destroyed by a death knight, now I know that DK’s are very much overpowered (mine is 80 and still makes me smile at how easy some PvP is with  it) so I didn’t feel too aggrieved at getting toasted by it, then within 10 minutes I was getting the same treatment by a Drenai Shammy, this time I hit my get outta jail free cards, cyclone, rejuvination, travel form, cat form, stealth – now I know that the shammy got the drop on me, and I know I have one or two bits of cloth armour, but I was being destroyed – I put some of it down to my lack of PvP experience with the Boomkin (I level 1-61 using feral) most of my PvP experiences are with my 70 UD rogue.

It would appear to me, that in the majority my alliance “foes” run away from my rogue & deathknight, however they seem to enjoy the hunt against my boomkin and in a couple of occasions they have chased me for some distance just to finish me off. So I guess the question stands “Are boomkins a free HK for other classes?”

I must confess in BC days on my rogue there was a selection that I would always pick on first, and I would assume that this is the case for most people and reading through the wow-europe class forums it would appear that us boomkins are at a slight disadvantage – sure we have some nice spells, and have stuns etc but I would say overall they aren’t “on demand” (altho I know that some feral ones are).

So tonight it’s back to levelling, altho I believe that a few of my guildies are talking about a Alt’s run to Azjol-Nerub so I might well tag along, few laughs with the guild and I might get some more healing practise (who knows might even respec to resto tonight  – see if I can find a nice resto-kin type build – suggestions always welcomed).

If you’re on Agamaggan-EU and see me around, say hi to me, and if you’re Alliance gimme a /wave before collecting your free HK.

As always comments are always encouraged.
